The final nail in the coffin was bring the door down onto something that had fallen into its path. That pulled the cable off one side of the drum. A well intentioned teenager tried to fix it and that didn’t work so well. The best part of this situation? No one was hurt and I was able to get out there and get the door back up and closed until we get install a new garage door for them.
New Ohio Made Garage Door Installed
I got the old door back up and working. The homeowner decided however that instead of sinking a bunch of money into a very old and worn out door they would like an upgrade. They selected an insulated door with steel backing. The upgrade was paired with a whisper quiet belt opener that is a huge improvement over the 20+ year old opener that was already in there.
