Broken Garage Door Springs

We carry High-cycle torsion springs on our truck so we can fix your door all over Ross County.

Fast, affordable, high-cycle spring replacement

Standard builder springs only last about 10,000 open/close cycles (roughly five to seven years of household use), so they can snap without warning. We stock USA-made springs that use thicker wire and longer coils so your replacement is rated 20,000–500,000 cycles.

What to expect on site

  • Torsion springs precisely matched to your door weight
  • Lift cables, center bearing, end bearing plates, and drums inspected
  • Door balance and opener force/travel calibrated after installation
  • Failed parts removed, hardware tightened, and safety tests run

Why springs fail

Heavy daily use burns through the original 10K-cycle springs quickly, and corrosion or grime creates extra friction that forces coils to work harder. A door that binds, has worn rollers, or an opener that is fighting extra weight will also overload the spring until it snaps.

Call 740-414-4500 and we'll get you fixed quickly and affordably.

Homeowner maintenance tips

  • Oil the center coils once a month with a lint-free cloth and heavy motor or gear oil while keeping lubricant away from the cones.
  • Detach the opener and lift the door by hand a few times; it should stay balanced at mid-travel without drifting and not be extremely heavy.
  • Listen for rollers that squeak or click and for tracks that rub; extra friction forces your opener to work harder than it should.

When to call right away

  • The door only raises a few inches or looks crooked on one side.
  • You see a gap in the torsion spring.
  • The opener groans, jerks, or reverses because it senses heavy resistance.
